Life in the pack

The Jungle Book gives Timber Wolves their shared story. Akela leads the pack, adult leaders are Old Wolves, and children work in small groups called Sixes. A Sixer helps lead each Six.

Through stories and games, Wolves practise cooperation, courage and doing their best.

Activities

Games, crafts, hiking and skills such as knot-tying sit alongside prayer and service. Outing details, equipment and any extra costs are shared before each event.

The Promise and Law

Wolves learn to listen, put others first, tell the truth and stay cheerful. A daily good turn puts these commitments into practice.

A new Wolf, called a Tenderpad, prepares with the leaders before making the Promise.

Learning to lead

Sixers and their helpers set an example and support younger members, with guidance from adults.

Moving up to Explorers depends on readiness and available places. Leaders help families plan that step.

Helping at home

Encourage your child to care for their kit, prepare for activities and practise skills with you. Check outing details for changes to clothing, location and pickup.
